Welcome to Integrative Health and Psychiatry
I’m Dr. Diana Price, a dual board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Feel like something’s off—or like you’ve lost your spark? You’re not alone.
I work with children, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed, shut down, or simply not like themselves.
Whether it’s big emotions, chronic stress, or that “frazzled” feeling you can’t quite shake, my integrative approach—grounded in family medicine and psychiatry—helps uncover the root cause and create lasting relief for you and your family.
With a background in family medicine and psychiatry, I create personalized treatment plans that support both your physical and emotional wellness. My integrative approach combines therapy, medication management, nutrition, supplements, movement, and lifestyle strategies to help you feel like yourself again.
I also have a special interest in helping adults facing hormone-related issues like brain fog, low libido, weight changes, and energy crashes feel more balanced, motivated, and “alive” again.
Welcoming new patients across Texas-virtually and in person visits in Abilene, TX.
Welcome to My Practice – I’m here to help!
If you’re here, chances are something hasn’t felt right for a while. Whether you’re feeling disconnected, drained, or like you’re carrying more than anyone can see, you deserve care that sees and honors the whole you.
As a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with 30+ years of experience, I bring a unique perspective: I don’t separate the body from the mind.
When you sit with me, we look at everything together, including your physical health, mental health, hormones, lifestyle, and even your faith, because they’re all connected. This lets us uncover root causes and create a plan that actually helps you feel like yourself again.
As a trauma survivor myself, I know how hard it can be to ask for help. My patients often tell me, “You’re the only one who really listens” or “No one has ever taken this much time with me” because I slow down, look at the full picture of your well-being, and create a plan that fits your life and values. That may include medication, supplements, movement, and lifestyle strategies to help you feel like yourself again.
I’m also a Christian, and my faith is the foundation of my life. That doesn’t mean I impose my beliefs—it means I bring compassion, hope, and integrity into every interaction. If your spirituality is important to you, we can integrate that into your care; if not, you’ll still find a safe, nonjudgmental space here.
If you're looking for a provider who will:
Takes time to understand your unique story without rushing
Work with you to identify and address the root causes of your distress
Offer specialized testing (hormone, genetic) alongside traditional treatment
Explore a range of treatment options, including—but not limited to—medication
Provide both family care and psychiatric support in one place, so you don’t have to bounce between providers or specialists
...your’e in the right place.
I’m here to walk alongside you on your journey toward healing, supporting you every step of the way as we work together toward lasting well-being.

My Area of Focus
-
Children & Adolescents
Anxiety - ADHD - Mood Challenges Ages 6+
Many children and teens I work with struggle silently. They often don’t have the words to explain what they’re feeling—but their experiences are real and deeply personal. Here’s what I commonly hear and observe:
“I feel like something bad is going to happen all the time.”
– Constant worry or fear, even in safe situations.“My chest feels tight, and I can’t catch my breath when I get nervous.”
– Physical symptoms like headaches, stomachaches, or panic-like sensations.“I don’t want to go to school. It’s too much.”
– Avoiding school or social activities due to anxiety, overwhelm, or fear of judgment.“I’m just tired of trying. Nothing makes me happy anymore.”
– Loss of interest in things they once enjoyed; feelings of hopelessness.“I get so mad, and I don’t even know why.”
– Mood swings, irritability, or emotional outbursts that don’t seem to have a clear cause.“I feel invisible. Like no one really gets me.”
– Withdrawing from friends or family; feeling misunderstood or disconnected.“Sometimes I think people would be better off without me.”
– Expressions of low self-worth, self-harm, or suicidal thoughts (which always deserve compassionate attention and support).
These feelings are real. And they can be incredibly scary—not just for the child, but for their parents who may feel helpless watching their child struggle.
I’m here to listen—to really listen—and to help both children and their families find a way forward. In my practice, I create a safe, welcoming space where kids and teens can speak freely, without fear of judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping each child understand what they’re feeling, why they’re feeling it, and most importantly, that they’re not alone.
We’ll work together to build insight, develop healthy coping skills, and restore a sense of balance—one small, meaningful step at a time.

Adults
Depression - Anxiety - PTSD - Mood Shifts - Life transitions
Anxiety and depression can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re trying to hold everything together. Many of my adult patients appear high-functioning on the outside but feel exhausted, anxious, or disconnected on the inside.
Here’s what I often hear from the adults I work with:
“My mind never shuts off.”
Constant worry, racing thoughts, or overthinking everything“I’m exhausted, but I can’t sleep.”
Trouble falling or staying asleep, feeling tired no matter how much you rest“I feel like I’m just going through the motions.”
Numbness, disconnection, or lack of joy in things you used to enjoy“I should be happy, but I’m not.”
Guilt or confusion about why you’re struggling, even when life seems “okay”“Small things feel huge. I get overwhelmed so easily.”
Difficulty concentrating, avoiding responsibilities, emotional burnout“I cancel plans because I can’t handle one more thing.”
Social withdrawal, irritability, or a desire to isolate
“I don’t feel like myself anymore.”

Parents
Balancing it all while supporting your family.
Being a parent comes with its own set of challenges, especially when juggling work, relationships, and the emotional needs of your children. I offer support for parents who are feeling:
Pulled in a million directions: Struggling to balance work, parenting, and marriage, and feeling always behind.
Guilt over parenting struggles: Feeling guilty about yelling, losing patience, or not being as present with their children.
Fear of worsening anxiety or sadness in their child: “Am I missing something? Is my child’s mental health getting worse?”
Co-parenting conflicts: Tension in parenting styles, lack of support, or difficulties co-parenting with an ex-partner.
With a background in family medicine and psychiatry, I create personalized treatment plans that support both your physical and emotional wellness. My integrative approach combines therapy, medication management, nutrition, supplements, movement, and lifestyle strategies to help you feel like yourself again.

Caregivers
Caregiving is a deeply rewarding, yet often overwhelming role. I specialize in helping caregivers navigate the unique challenges they face, including:
Loss of personal identity: “I don’t remember who I was before I became a caregiver.”
Resentment mixed with shame: Loving the person they care for, but feeling stuck, frustrated, or even angry at times.
Feeling invisible: “I feel like I’m doing everything for everyone, and no one sees what I’m going through.”
Constant guilt: Either for not doing enough or for wanting time away from the responsibilities of caregiving.
"Having been a caregiver from a young age—first for my sister with diabetes and later for my father—I understand how heavy and exhausting that responsibility can feel. Wanting space to reclaim your own life is a natural response to the challenges of caring for others."

Support for Hormonal Health | Energy, Weight, Mood, or Sleep
Your labs say everything’s normal, but you don’t feel normal. You're tired of being dismissed or told it’s all in your head when your body is clearly calling out for help.
You’ve cleaned up your diet, tried the supplements, tracked your sleep, and downloaded every wellness app. Still, it feels like you’re pushing a boulder uphill, every single day.
You crave intimacy and connection, but fatigue and low libido get in the way. It feels like you’re grieving the loss of a sensual, expressive version of yourself.
You have frequent sugar cravings, emotional eating, or disordered eating patterns.
You feel more irritable, have brain fog, or energy crashes.
Co-occurring conditions like hypertension, high cholesterol, PCOS, or early signs of diabetes?
If you’re experiencing any of these challenges, you’re not alone. I care for your whole self—what you feel in your body, what you carry in your mind, and what weighs on your heart. That means not just treating symptoms, but honoring your full experience—the physical aches, the emotional weight, and the everyday challenges that connect them.
I specialize in helping men and women struggling with hormone imbalances and metabolic syndrome, addressing symptoms such as depression, lack of motivation, mood swings, weight gain, and reduced interest in sexual activity. Through a personalized, integrative approach, we will work to improve your overall health and well-being, restoring balance and enhancing quality of life.
Including specialized hormone and genetic testing, because sometimes the answer isn't just in your mind, it's in your body.
My Approach
Because I’m trained in both family medicine and psychiatry, I specialize in the overlap between hormonal health and mental health. For many men and women, issues like depression, fatigue, brain fog, mood swings, or weight changes are tied to hormone imbalance or metabolic syndrome.
Instead of dismissing these symptoms or saying “your labs are normal,” I dig deeper. Together, we’ll create a plan to restore balance—so you feel clearer, lighter, and more alive in both body and mind.
I believe it’s a privilege to serve as your healthcare provider—especially through an integrative approach that fosters meaningful, healing relationships and drives lasting change in people’s lives.
With training in both family medicine and psychiatry, I offer personalized treatment plans that address your physical and emotional well-being. My holistic approach weaves together therapy, medication management, nutrition, supplements, movement, and lifestyle strategies to help you feel like yourself again—balanced, resilient, and whole.
